22日(水)　4月こと座流星群ピーク　東の空を見上げてみて

22日(水)、4月こと座流星群がピークです。ピーク時の1時間当たりの流星数は10個程度です。三大流星群と呼ばれる、「しぶんぎ座流星群」「ペルセウス座流星群」「ふたご座流星群」と比べたら、少ないですが、突発的に流星数が増加することがあります。国内では1945年に1時間当たり約90個の記録があり、海外では1922年、1946年、1982年などに流星数の増加が観測されています。
おすすめの観察時間帯は、こと座にある放射点が空高く昇る、22日(水)23時頃から翌23日(木)朝にかけてです。
